With the exception of an occasional late night smoke-out, most outdoor electric stoves are fairly well-kept and safe.
But when the heat is out, the stove is not insulated and the insulation loses its ability to trap heat and keep it warm.
A recent survey of more than 1,000 U.S. consumers found that 75% of respondents said their outdoor electric home heaters are either overheating or not keeping up with the heat demand.
Many owners of outdoor electric heaters say that they were using their heaters on a regular basis and have yet to hear of any issues.
